Your driving journey is not just about clutch and steering, along the way you will learn all the basic skills required to venture into the road network with as much knowledge as possible.
Drivers Theory Examination
During your lessons we can dedicate some time to learning about the theory exam, learning about hazard perception and understanding developing hazards, you can use the instructor as a study partner and ask questions during your lessons and identify any areas that may need work. Remembering at all times that it is your lesson and can be adjusted to suit any needs that may arise.
Driving Test Certification
Full support on test day. We will only charge for a two hour lesson on test day, often picking you up a lot earlier, going through any last minute issues or worries, making sure that you have a good solid understanding of what to expect from the examiners, the car will always be prepped the day before insuring that the you and the vehicle are ready for the examination ahead. Whatever the test result full support will be given afterwards.
Basic Vehicle Knowledge
At GSM we will not only teach you to drive but also teach you all the basic skills needed to start your driving experience, from checking the oil to changing a tyre to refuling the vehicle.
Highway Code
While learning to drive you will be taught the highway code, and will always be kept up to date with changing rules and legislation enabling you to pass your theory and become a safe competent driver on the road network.
Road Safety
Running with and alongside the highway code and learning to drive you will be taught about road safety, learning measures and methods to prevent accidents and learning defensive driving creating a safer road infrastructure.
Pass Plus
Pass Plus is a short driving course totalling six hours, designed to help newly qualified motorists improve their skills and safety. You can take it any time after you’ve passed your practical test but it’s usually most beneficial in your first year of driving as most road accidents occur within the first 12 months of a new driver getting their licence.
Driving Theory Help
At GSM we do not just teach you drive, we help you every step of the way. We can dedicate parts of the lesson to theory test help and also teaching all about hazard perception.
The way to pass the theory is by thoroughly understanding the rules of the road through a combination of studying the Highway Code and combining theory with practical experience using the instructors knowledge to help and assist you along the way.
Motorway Lessons
Motorway lessons provide new drivers with the skills and confidence to drive safely at higher speeds and in fast-moving traffic. Our training covers essential areas such as lane discipline, overtaking, joining and exiting motorways, understanding road signs, and safe following distances. With expert guidance, you’ll build the confidence to handle long-distance journeys and complex road situations with ease.
